Now, I'm a car guy. which is to say I've done nearly everything there is to do in and around cars... except be a live spectator at races. I've seen exactly 1.5 professional races in person. My first (the .5) was a Grand-Am race at Watkins Glen where I crewed for TPC racing. I got to fetch tires and other things, warm up the cars, wash wind screens and did a lot of running around. That being said, I didn't really see much of the race, or the track for that matter. Last year a friend of mine and I attended the Long Beach Grand Prix to watch World Challenge and Tudor and it rocked. We had a great vantage for the start and it was amazing!

I've always been intrigued with vintage racing, as I grew up watching fire breathing Trans-Am and LeMans Prototype cars on TV when my parents let me. About half of my rotating car backgrounds are of late 60's and early 70's Trans-Am cars. So when I found out I was actually going to be in town for this years !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! I immediately bought tickets.

I feel like a freaking 5 year old as I cant wait to see all these vintage cars racing around. What is even better as I may be driving my first classic car to the event... but we'll see what happens!
